Hi, I’m Shaina Bryski, a trauma-informed LMSW therapist offering a client-centered, relational approach. Sometimes people come to therapy knowing a lot about themselves, yet something still feels stuck. You may understand your patterns, have insight into where they come from, and still find yourself reacting in ways that don’t fully make sense.
It can feel like different parts of you are pulling in opposite directions — one part that knows what you need, and another that falls back into what’s familiar, even when it no longer feels good. Over time, this can leave you feeling frustrated, disconnected, or unsure how to move forward.
My work focuses on helping insight turn into something you can actually feel and live. Rather than adding more analysis, we slow things down and pay attention to what’s happening in the moment, in your thoughts, your emotions, and your body. Through a relational, somatic, and parts-informed approach, we begin to work with these patterns directly so that change feels more natural and lasting.
In our work, there’s space to be honest about what’s actually happening, without needing to rush to fix it. From there, we begin to understand it and respond in ways that feel more aligned and sustainable.
I work with young adults and adults and offer therapy both in person in Brooklyn, New York and virtually throughout New York State.
Whether you’re ready to start therapy or have a question, I’d love to hear from you.
